Simply Stop Pulling

Everyone gets a dog looking forward to walking with a faithful companion by their side. But all too often the reality is very different – you being pulled along from pilar to post, arms aching, hating every minute.

Dogs naturally pull on lead if they haven’t be taught not to.

There are three main reasons why people get frustrated about why their dogs won’t walk nicely on lead:

  • People try to teach their dogs to walk nicely while they’re out walking – but basics need to be taught at home first
  • Pulling on lead starts inside the home – getting calm before going through the door is a key part of nice loose lead walking
  • People think walks are about route marching, striding along – they aren’t.

This self-study course is in two parts. Part 1 teaches you the key mechanics for teaching your dog to walk nicely by your side. These five essential, home based, basic lessons are the foundation for having wonderful walks with your dog out and about.  You’ll learn:

  • our secret and effective simple hack to preventing Newton’s law teaching your dog to pull
  • the simple way to teach your dog where you want him to be and help him see it as a great game
  • how to achieve that essential calm before starting your walk

Part 2 is all about putting the training into practice in the real world and addresses why, for dogs, walks are not principally about physical exercise. You’ll learn the secret of a happy, satisfying, stroll walk, how to keep things fun out and about, how to proof your new skills in different environments and situations. The final session is all about how to deal with that perennial problem – off lead dogs running up to you and your pooch. There are also two bonus videos to help you teach the key basic cues you’ll need to undertake this course.
