Just like us, dogs  may feel frustrated and angry when they are disappointed and cannot have something they really want.  We need to learn not smash things up or comfort ourselves by taking out our frustration on those around us.  Dogs have to learn this too.

Reactive Rovers bark, lunge, pull and can be almost impossible to control when they see their trigger. The trigger can be another dog, a person, or something else. Some dogs become so aroused, they snap or bite anything in the vicinity.

Just like us, dogs  may feel frustrated and angry when they are disappointed and cannot have something they really want.  We need to learn not smash things up or comfort ourselves by taking out our frustration on those around us.  Dogs have to learn this too.

Dog-dog aggression is a consequence of over-arousal, exuberance and subsequent frustration. It’s one of the least considered aspects of preventative dog training and is a gaping hole in many people’s dog training portfolio.

Our intensive Reactive Rover Bootcamp will give you the tools to teach your dog to tolerate frustration, learn to control their impulses, and keep calm when their triggers appear. It will give you the tools to manage your dog successfully if they do react and show what to do in an emergency situation.

Each session you’ll get several exercises to practice. You can also use your personal workbook to chart your progress and you can submit your personal videos for review too. But it’s not for the faint-hearted.

It’s intensive and you’ll need to work at it.

Practice produces progress!
